I love the Percy Jackson universe and will read anything in it, but I have to admit this one did feel a bit like filler.
Especially as I'd finished the Trials of Apollo this year and this book (and its upcoming sequels) takes place before that. So for me the timeline was slightly skewed
It's also very low stakes, which is fine, I don't want Percy to always be in mortal danger but I just don't feel like this book *needed* to be written. It was nice to see more of Percy & Annabeth just being happy and not in peril though.
Obviously I will still read the next book because I love this universe and Rick's writing, but yeah 😅
