Why did I wait so long to read this book? WHY?!?!
I know a book is good when I start reading it at 5pm and finish it by 8. I couldn’t put it down!
I remember seeing the movie a few years ago and didn’t really think about it BUT WHEN I READ THE BOOK! Yes. I had a huge fangirl moment and was so obsessed with the capital and what was going to happen and like OMG. YES. The book seems to have a lot more gore and a lot more bang than the movie did. There was a lot more going on and a lot more in the characters in the book. It's a young adult action packed thriller. It also takes place in America in the future which I didnt get from the movies but was pretty cool to know when I read the books.
Katniss is the female character who completely kicksass. She doesn’t need a guy. She uses love to win. She gets a hearing disability and still is a super B.A. She’s what young females need as a role model. Hell, she’s my role model.
Thankfully I’m going on vacation at the end of the week so I can read Catching Fire and Mockingjay well on the plane which will make me forget I’m flying.
