3.5

I’m torn between 3..0-3.75. I loved the historical elements and the explanation at the end given by the author. The 1800’s was not immune to colonization and the sheer fact the characters addressed this was great. I do think the pacing was a little uneven, we don’t really get the romance feel until about halfway into the book and the spice /sexy parts about 80% into it. I’m looking forward to Isabel and Gabby’s books though.
