Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater

4.0

You know, I love this series for the characters and their relationships. Stiefvater has some serious mad skill at juggling everyone and damn girl. How do you do that thing? WIth that being said, the plot usually suffers. It sludges along. It's there but it's smudgy and half the time confusing. Well, Blue Lily, Lily Blue actually is the perfect balance of both.

Thank you very much, Stiefvater.

I read this book while waiting. Waiting for work to start. Waiting to finish my break. Waiting for people. Waiting for food, a car wash, christmas, etc. And even as I waited and read this book at a slow pace, it flew by. Every moment, every interaction had purpose and a place to go. For once I felt my pulse race with the anticipation of the plot rather than the anticipation of Blue and Gangsey gettin' close if you know what I mean (nudge nudge wink wink). Everything fit well together and moved at the perfect pace.

I can't believe only one book is left.

Man oh man.
