I am shocked by how much I liked this book, considering how utterly unlikable the protagonist is. It was actually eye-opening in terms of showing how easy it is to slide into dominant-culture-focused thinking about minority-culture content, and how some prejudice is lurking just below the surface.
Graphic: Death, Racism, Xenophobia, Grief, Cultural appropriation, and Toxic friendship
Moderate: Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Sexual assault, Suicidal thoughts, Stalking, and Gaslighting
