Drugs: America's Holy War by Arthur Benavie

informative slow-paced

4.0

This book did a lot to dispel myths related to various illicit drugs. The science and data behind the drugs and their effects. It focuses on the drug war, but not only gives the information backing why it has never been successful, but it also gives concrete examples of how other countries have went in another direction and been successful. It is a short book with a lot of information, and the only thing that I would have really liked is an updated version with more up to date information. However, since our countries way of dealing with drugs hasn't changed drastically since the book was published, I imagine that the updated data would not lead to a drastically different conclusion.
