I read this one in 24 hours on release day. I haven’t done that since Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix came out and I went to a midnight release party.
I’m still processing, but this was just—WOW. What a great follow-up to Fourth Wing. The character development, the villains (oh my god the VILLAINS!!), the dragon sass—all just A+.
Sure, there are some flaws. Yeah, there’s some dialogue that feels off, and sure, there’s a plot point or two where I was like….we’re REALLLY doing this? But overall what a great sequel for anyone that loved the first book.
