Let’s call this… lost in translation or alternatively, ‘a serious of unrelated and unfortunate events with no real consequences’.
Just a bunch of weird stuff happened for no apparent reasons, definitely none that were explained. But boy howdy does Pinocchio learn to be a ‘good boy’… it just takes killing other characters, manipulation, cheating, stealing, abandoning, temper tantrums, being turning into something else, being drowned twice, and eaten.
So… yea.
