FMC description:
brown hair, 28 yrs old, caring, animal lover, has bad luck, lonely.

"Night Mother knows, I'll be clinging to your giant cock like a suffocating sea star until the day I die. Just try and get rid of me."

She held onto his tusks and kissed him over and over until he pushed her inside, laughing, and closed the door so she'd go to bed.

My opinion:
This was a low-angst read perfect for my anxiety, I didn't expected to like this as much as I did.

I loved how both of them were so caring about helping animals in need and protecting each other.

And everytime he called her "little heart" I melted, it was so cute. Also how he was always carrying her.

There were some things that didn't make this book perfect such as: very simple plot, if they had a new plan to discover who trafficked the animals, or in general more about the sanctuary or the creatures in that world.

But the book would have needed to be longer to explain all that or to describe some scenes a little slower.

At times it felt like things were a little glossed bc the author couldn't afford to get too deep in those scenes. Like she had to tell instead of showing. But if you see the book as a novella, it's easier to overlook those details.

I can't wait to read the next Skarr book, or more about the author.
