The Saints of Whistle Grove by Katie Schuermann
5.0
A lovely friend from church raved about this book and loaned it to me. Two weeks later on a Saturday night, I cracked it open and told myself "I ought to at least START so I can tell her how I liked it..."
Midnight-30 and my husband is telling me I need to go to sleep! I finished it the next morning before church. This was AMAZING. I smiled, I cried, it was so beautiful. I have always liked old graveyards, and the story of this one, with the closed church and the various stories of the sleeping saints just pulled me in. At turns bitter, and heartbreaking, and beautiful, frustrating, and romantic, and nostalgic, and...it just brings back all the feelings you've ever felt in your LIFE.
Christian fiction has a bad rap. This is LUTHERAN fiction. I can't get over this. Brb, adding more by this author to my TBR.
