The Holeshot by Lynn Michaels
2.0
I'm going to go in gentle and ask WTH did I just read? I am not sure if this book is Young Adult or New Adult or Adult. I know Tyler is 21 years old because the very beginning of the book he meets and has sex with Davey. Seriously the very beginning, I had to reopen my Kindle to make sure I did not accidentally skip ahead a few chapters. They had sex within minutes of meeting each other. Story potential? Well, honestly there were a few things I did like about the book. Davey actually came across as a young man who loved Tyler from the get go and was willing to do what he could to make their relationship work. Tyler, on the other hand, oh man he was a whiny, jealous, little boy in a man's body.
When a book has so many sex scenes that I skim over paragraph after paragraph of sex...then there is entirely too much sex. Every single time these two guys were around each other they were screwing. The one time that Davey did not wake Tyler up for sex before his morning workout, Tyler sneaks downstairs to see if he can catch him having sex with another house guest who just happens to be gay.
Honestly the book should have been a DNF for me but I kept reading it hoping it would get better, to me it never did.
