Call him King Charles messing w her tampon like that...
Forreal tho the writing was decent, but the book dragged for me. It felt like we got a lot of focus & detail on the society at large that was entirely unnecessary and irrelevant. While it is important to touch on the poorhouses & the state of government, since those circumstances don't affect the protagonists at all they're kind of useless details for us.
I wish we'd focused more on the magic & Satantic Shrine that the protagonists were involved with, as that ended up being a really important part of the conflict/reason Romina's life was what it was.
Overall it felt like we (the readers) are sitting around waiting for things to happen, and yet the book is almost 500 pages long.
