While The Apothecary Diaries: Volume 7 brings quite a bit of backstory about Maomao and Lakan, there also is a whirlwind of plot movement. In order to get all that was put forth, this was a volume I felt like I needed to read twice—so I did!
I continue to be in awe of the illustrations and fast-moving, gripping plot. For someone who never thought she’d be a fan of manga, I am thrilled to have found another series I enjoy so much.
Graphic: Suicide attempt
Moderate: Violence
