What a surprise that I enjoyed this so much! The combination of historical and fantasy elements is quite well-written in this book. I particularly liked everything about the ball, the royals, etc.; it was so fascinating and depicted in a very flowery and beautiful manner throughout. The romance, though it did not dominate the plot, maintained its excitement. It was so cute and lovely in how it described their relationship. Even though I liked all of these aspects, I found the fantasy elements somewhat hazy. I mean, there were fairies and magic, but somehow they did not feel vibrant within the plot, even though they were clearly connected to the storyline. Additionally, the book was short, so I didn't see much detail regarding the main characters. But beside all of that, I still very much adore this book. It was such a fun read, and I would definitely consider reading others from the series.
