Nemesis by Steve McNiven, Mark Millar

3.0

This comic is a near perfect page turner! Full of surprises! with only four issues, this is one hell of packed action comics. Issue 1-3 worth 4 or 5 star.

But... I don't like the final issue. I need to put spoiler tag, there are big spoilers
Spoiler I don't like the revelations at the last issue, or maybe lack of explanations. Until the end, there is no explanations who was Nemesis. Although not mandatory, but I want some explanations how the hell a rich boy could have a skill to defeat 97 riot cops in hand-to-hand combat and other stunts.

The president pro-active final act was adorable. That was the most important unseen factor by Nemesis that caused his defeat. But readers didn't have any prior clue, so it was not so well-executed. And that was the best part.

Especially I don't like the epilogue with a mystery precog businessman as the real mastermind is a BIG NO for me. If the precog knew the chief would survive, why he still put Nemesis in danger? Remember Nemesis is the precog's client.

I need explanation why this precog mastermind still put his client into death, and knew the chief would survive. Without explanation, I could only think the ending as contradictory. The precog could see he would failed to delivery the service to Nemesis but he still did it, what a dumb businessman.
. A 1 star for Issue #4.
