To Your Eternity, Volume 2 by Yoshitoki Oima

4.0

I thought the last volume wasn't "too heavy" but I wouldn't go into this without making sure you're in a good space. There were some big gut punches in this volume. It's all starting to add up to something grand now. The story seems thoughtfully planned ahead and I like when it reveals something that makes me flip back in the book to revisit what I missed or see how details were intentionally omitted for this effect. It's refreshing in a genre that can feel written by the seat of its pants a lot of the time. I just wish I picked up more volumes!
