This was a good read. I find Lyra entertaining and learning more about her background and magic was interesting. However
the lack of control due to the mind control was really hard to read and there were a number of times I put it down and didn’t want to pick it back up.
The resolution to the biggest problem was a little too pat given the enormity. I appreciate that Lyra is still struggling emotionally at the end of the book as that matches her character and made the issue more believable. And now I’m on to pick up the next book in the series!
