There is so much packed into this small novella and I really appreciated the scope.
Elsenna and Banyelle have a history together which you can clearly feel in each moment they are together, in every conversation and small touch. I loved seeing the princess from Elsenna's point of view and slowly working out what is actually happening, with her and the kingdom.
There is action, there is politics, there is romance, all balanced to deliver this lovely novella combined with Kilaen's incredible writing.
