OK I'm a bit pissed here. I have all the Anita Blake series and have been working my way through them the last two months, fitting in the short stories where the goodreads description tells me to. After I read book 10 [b:Narcissus in Chains|1140601|Narcissus in Chains (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #10)|Laurell K. Hamilton|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1181345096s/1140601.jpg|2644676] I picked up Cravings to read the story that was mentioned in the description above as being story 10.5 in the series. Now after reading book 11 [b:Cerulean Sins|30287|Cerulean Sins (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #11)|Laurell K. Hamilton|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1168063733s/30287.jpg|2953328], it seems that the story in 10.5 takes place AFTER book 11 NOT before which totally buggered up my 'reading it in order'!!!

Talk about confused! In 10.5 I was reading that Anita had previously had sex with Jason because Nathaniel had collapsed and was too weak to feed her. Then in book 11 we read about these events as they happened. Goodreads should have labelled this short story as 11.5 not 10.5! Not happy.

And of course reading a helpful review below has also told me that 10.5 or 11.5 or whatever the hell you want to call it, is just a condensed version of the start of book 12 [b:Incubus Dreams|1140602|Incubus Dreams (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #12)|Laurell K. Hamilton|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1181345110s/1140602.jpg|2963636] so I needn't have bothered with the crap story ANYWAY! It also explains why the short story came to such a bad stunted ending.

Do yourself a favour and just skip this rubbish and read books 9, 10, 11 and 12 in order if you are still following the series. Grrr. Thanks a lot for your help goodreads.
