A Crystal of Time by Soman Chainani
3.0
i think, out of all the books i’ve read from soman, this one is my favorite. the first three, four were okay. but this one? i actually love.
one of the things i loved most? the tagatha scenes, of course. throughout the first three books of the series, these two were always on different pages. but now? they’re a team. they don’t hide their feelings and love for each other. they can be real with each other. and i love that development. i love that.
another thing i loved was how this book delved into the shades of gray between Good and Evil. because it’s true — everything isn’t black and white. and i loved how soman discusses that, especially with rhian, making us sympathize with him knowing he’s the enemy.
but the most BIZARRE thing in this entire book? in this entire series?
reaper.
the king of gnomeland? for five whole years? i almost got whiplash from the amount of times i had to reread that. i was in hysterics. just check my reading progress. i was .... just ..... Shook.
