First BEE book I've read, and I quite liked it. I like an unreliable and morally-ambiguous narrator, and this one had me second-guessing pretty much everything right up to the end. BEE's writing style is quite rich, yet very repetitive - so many references to music and pop culture that, at first I found really vivid and helped transport me into the era, but became seriously tedious after a few chapters.
