I received a copy of this episode from SerialBox via NetGalley. I've got to be honest. I read the 1st and 2nd episode only. Which means I haven't read episode 3 through episode 8. Some of the previous events were mentioned briefly in this one, which was positive and reminds me the recap in the beginning of a tv series.

I did enjoy the 1st and 2nd episodes, but this one was definitely better. The writing and editing was great! We start to see a little bit of character development in this episode as May struggles with her overthinking and her ability to make decisions in stressful situations. I understand her desire to be left alone with her own thoughts, hence the running away from everyone. Her attitude though may introduce them to new dangers (the possible city she spots) or maybe a shelter and chance at a new beginning. I liked the chemistry between her and Gabe and I'd like to see where their relationship will go. We still are left with multiple questions though, about the weather, the caretakers, where they are and what happened to them exactly. I'm bracing myself for an amazing finale, but I really do hope I'm not disappointed. I do have high expectations by now.

All in all, it was really good. I haven't connected with any of the characters due to the episodes I haven't yet read, but it doesn't really matter because with stories like this one, you tend to want for them to find a safe place and start adapting to this new life. It's not like they have another choice. Or maybe they have. We'll see.
