Where the Rhythm Takes You, by Sarah Dass

2.0

This was an ARC. I loved the setting and the casually woven in vernacular, but I struggled to find that all of the young adults in this novel had such depth. Nothing about them was unlikable, some of them were a little selfish but in a normal human way, and they were all living fairly successful lives without adult interference. It just didn't sit right to me. I loved the setting, though, and found myself googling various references to see if they were as beautiful as the author's description (they were). Otherwise, this just didn't hook me as I'd hoped.
