Tempting the Player by Jennifer L. Armentrout

5.0

So it seems like I'll never be able to get enough from the fabulous JLA. I swear she can write the phone book and I would read every word nonstop because that's how addicting I find her writing to be! And while I prefer her YA books to her adult ones, simply because that is my usual genre, Tempting the Player was a fantastic read.

I already knew I would love this one because:
1) JLA wrote it
2) It's about a sexy Gamble brother and
3) He's a baseball player!! My all time favorite sport!!

While the sport of baseball wasn't really a big part to the story, it did help set up the plot line since Chad is a "player" in the spotlight. I felt bad for him because he has to deal with all of the rumors. While some of them were true when he was younger, he wants to grow up now but the media doesn't see him in a new light. This is where Bridget and the publicist come into play.

Since it's a fairly short ebook I'm not going to give anything away but with a premise like that, there's going to big some huge bombshells dropping! Now compared to Tempting the Best Man, I loved this one more. I thought there was more of a plot line for this one so I wasn't reading the same old story the whole time. I thought Bridget and Chad also had more character development compared to Maddie and Chase. And if this trend continues, Tempting the Bodyguard is bound to be the best one of the series! I'm extremely excited for the conclusion to this series and I know I won't be disappointed! JLA is truly the mastermind and she hasn't failed to entertain me yet!
