Gather The Daughters by Jennie Melamed

Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.

I thought it would be more sci-fi, but instead it came across a a cross between The Giver and The Handmaid's Tale, and I feel like it didn't offer enough of a fresh concept to get me through it. If you like The Handmaid's Tale, you might like this, but I have a hard time enjoying books with such gendered sexual abuse/control, especially when it feels like a rehash of what's an established set of concepts
