Hirano and Kagiura, Vol. 1 by Shou Harusono

Cute, cute, cute!
I mean, what can I say really? It's a high school romance, you get what's on the tin and it is amazing!
Being a spin-off of that other amazing lgbt high school romance (Sasaki and Miyano), Hirano and Kagiura essentially follows the same format. It is more or less a series of connected one shots following the daily lives of high school boys, who also happen to be catching feelings. Or at least one of them is....
If you like Sasaki and Miyano, you'll definitely like this series as well. It has the same balance of humor and sincerity, the same sweet slow-developing relationships, the same fun cast of characters even!
I actually, and this may make me an outlier, like this series more than the original main one. Don't get me wrong, Sasaki and Miyano is a lot of fun! But, I just enjoy the relationship dynamic between Hirano and Kagiura more, and I like the development of their story more. It's more perfect of course, but it is endlessly interesting.
If you're looking for a very sweet, innocent and fairly low=stakes slice-of-life lgbt romance with minor drama for spice, this series is a good pick.
