superpowers in an adult book should be cringey but for some reason i still genuinely enjoyed this book. the plot is pretty simple and there aren't many characters but it all works because it's not trying to be something it isn't. i really cared for some of these characters too and i'm already missing them???? my inner critic is actually shocked.
