Arthur Who Wrote Sherlock by Linda Bailey

informative inspiring lighthearted relaxing fast-paced

4.0

As a graphic novel for children, this book is a total delight! It is short, easy to comprehend, and has beautiful illustrations. It is, for a child, the near-perfect introduction to a man who created the world's most well-known detective. I enjoyed reading it as an adult as well.

Sherlock Holmes is a name that has travelled through generations. My own introduction to "adult" fiction happened through Sherlock Holmes at the age of 12 when my mother passed on one of her Sherlock Holmes short story collections to me. It also started enduring my love affair with the mystery-thriller genre. I will, therefore, always remain grateful to Arthur Conan Doyle for bringing me a lot of joy for many years of my life.

Someday I will pass on the same Sherlock Holmes short story collection to my (future) children ALONG WITH this book, because I wish this was available to me when I was a child as well.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read and review this wonderful book!
