This is quite a page-turner. A really fun book with engaging storytelling and world building. The core message of curbing consumerism and environmental destruction to focus on internal happiness and spirituality is one as old as time. However, the way the Exurb1a repackaged it (with interdimensional space travel, galactical geopolitics, talking animal gods, and other weird and charming things) makes it fresh and resonates well.
