This book is for the Percy Jackson fans who were with him as a kid. The book is all about growing up and being ok with that and hooo boy did I need that. It’s really interesting to see once again, good messages coming from Riordan, in what is essentially a marketing stunt book (not that I’m complaining).

It’s great to continue PJO, without needing to necessarily have read Heroes of Olympus or Trials of Apollo. This picks up perfectly as teenage Percy Jackson struggling, and it was refreshing to get some family time and a much less dramatic (whilst still interesting) quest.

You can imagine the main trio as they were always described, or you can picture them as the cast from the new show (which only hints at perfect casting if you ask me). Fun read, can’t wait for the next one!
