Luke Skywalker Can't Read: And Other Geeky Truths by Ryan Britt

2.0

Less than impressed. I wrote on my blog that the style reminded me of the reasons why I stopped reading Cracked.com - namely, a sense of vague smugness and the author thinking they're funnier than they really are. Not a whole lot of valuable insights, either, though some of the essays were vaguely enjoyable and it's certainly not the most insufferable look at geek culture I've ever read.

My search for pop culture analysis books that I actually like continues apace.
