This book was extremely drawn out, but I feel that was needed considering it’s theme. I think it could have tackled more philosophical questions given it’s length, but I like the conversations that it did spark. I don’t think Dostoyevsky completely managed to get me to root for Raskolnikov at the end, which is what I believe he was trying to do. There were some scenes that I thought were rather pointless, but the ending was good. Overall a depressing read, but I’m still glad I read it.

P.S. I read the last 200ish pages in one night (took me like 5 hours), but I’m very proud of myself.
