I hadn't been a huge fan of Greer up to this point in the series.  Given the dislike established between him, Stevie and Macie so far, the idea of them

ending up as a family

felt a bit far-fetched. By now, I should know better than to doubt the plotting and character-building of Ms. Hunter. I have one book left for the Comets and it may be safe to say that Greer is my choice of the players. ^_^
