Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience by Brené Brown

4.0

As someone that is constantly searching for meaning and reason, this book is a gentle guide to feelings. I cheat read this one as an audiobook and loved the pdf that came with it because I didn’t feel like I missed out on any of the visual aids and still got the full experience of the physical copy. I did find the repetition a little tiresome towards the end but I understand Brené’s want to emphasise what felt big to her. It did come with a few tear inducing ‘that’s what this feeling is’ moments and I’ll probably refer back to this book in moments of emotional numbness. All in all a great map to being human, the good the bad and the ugly parts of it.
