2.0

I read this book thinking it would be the next Ice Planet Barbarians and ended it with an unsatisfied longing.
I believe it being put into the category of something like Ice Planet Barbarians gave me too high of an expectation for a sci-fi smutty romance. I didn't get that world-building that I wanted I didn't get that tension that build-up I didn't get anything. To be honest the only reason it isn't a 1.75 stars is because I don't hate this book it just wasn't good. I have no ill will against this book but I will never recommend it to someone ever.
Also, I hope it isn't just me who felt uncomfortable with the paralysing sperm thing that's going on. I was not vibing with that and I feel like the whole reason you have an alien as a love interest is cause they have something to make smut otherworldly. This paralysing sperm thing made no sense from an evolutionary standpoint and two it didn't make the smut more enjoyable or fresh in concept.
Also, I understand that the main focus of the book was romance and smut but they brushed over all the interesting parts of their civilisation. If this book just gave me more details on why their women all died off and just SOMETHING MORE! I could have loved this book as much as I loved Ice Planet Barbarians.
