A Witch in Time by Constance Sayers
1.0
Oof. I haven’t given a book a 1-star rating in a long time, so… congrats?
I strongly disliked pretty much everything about this - and now that I’m sitting here, reflecting, it’s hard for me to pinpoint even one small thing I did like.
I thought the characters were bland; the writing was repetitive and surface-level; the pacing was clumsy; and the handling of serious subject matters, like rape and trauma, was poor at best and nonexistent at worst.
This could have been such a cool story, but unfortunately the execution of the (admittedly interesting) concept fell flat for me, in so many ways. Didn’t enjoy and would not recommend.
