I knew I probably wasn’t going to like this book from the beginning because the main character was annoying and I couldn’t relate to her all. Even though the book told me why the main character wanted to be valedictorian, I didn’t really understand her motivation. 

I will say, Ezra was a good character, and if the side charachters had been more central to the story, I would’ve liked it more. 

And I did actually like part of the ending more than I thought I would.
