The Good Daughter, by Karin Slaughter

4.0

It is weird indeed that I kept turning my head away from Karin Slaughter’s books so long. Apparently she writes the engrossing detective stories with quite impressive character studies. It is just a way I want the detective stories to be. The only thing I have some ambivalent feelings about is brutality of narrative. There are too many graphic details of violence in this book which repetitive and unnecessary and sometimes it felt too much.
