Awesome

I can't believe I didn't leave a review first time I read this book! What a fantastic read! I loved both Killian and Libby. Killian is the singer and guitarist of the most famous rock band, Kill John. Alter the suicide attempt of Jax, Killian's best friend and co-founder of the band, they all broke apart, devastated by their friend's psychological breakdown. On the anniversary of the attempt, Killian goes away on vacation, drinks himself stupid and ends up crashed on Libby's lawn. I loved the scene where she hoses him down and he squawks and sputters, then she bathes him and puts him to sleep. Then starts a friendship. Killian is adorable and sexy. He pouts, nags and pushes Libby to flourish out of her hermit mode. When they discover the music they have in common, it's a beautiful thing. He later says that she woke up his love of music again. Libby is a gifted singer and musician as well, but her deceased parents had warned away from that career, claiming it's a cruel and difficult world. With Killian she evolves and that is part of what forms the conflict in the book. I loved the love and devotion formed between them, and loved that the rock world presented is so real but not sleazy.
