A Pizza My Heart by Teagan Hunter

2.0

ARC was provided by Wildfire Marketing and Teagan Hunter, so thank you. All opinions are my own xx

This was a fun and lighthearted read, perfect for the upcoming summer months. The family Pizza business ‘Slice’ brought warm family relationships into the book. As the Dad, Brother and our protagonists Wren and Foster have all worked there. The friendships were heartwarming. So all together it created a lovely, enjoyable reading experience. I also read this during my stressful exam month. And this book gave me what I was looking for. An easy read.

I personally am more critical of contemporary books, because it takes a lot for me to absolutely love them. I did find a few grammatical errors so some bits didn’t make sense, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t look past. So bearing that in mind I gave this book a three stars. One of the reasons was that the love interest Foster ‘complimented’ Wren he used the cliche of “you’re not just any girl”. I physically rolled me eyes when reading this. And in consequence of this I had a dislike towards Foster, which isn’t ideal when he is the love interest.
