the series started strong
So book 1 was well written hot, turmoil that set the story up perfectly.
Book 2 picks up right after book 1 and this is where it really starts to pick up & lay out the plot. This growing love story is full of lusty angst and Luke just makes me want to fall to my knees in whorship with the sin that falls from his holy mouth (lucky, lucky Vance)
BUT by book 3 I just…got lost so much.
There were odd tangents that were never fully tied up, some stuff really started to feel redundant. There was quite a few times where grammatical errors popped up( i.e. half sentences, unclear character thoughts, basic grammar errors) and as someone who is a visual person, I really rely on the writer to paint their picture for me, so this can pull me out of a story quickly.
I understand that’s not their fault and I try really hard to overlook it. It was a solid 3 for me because the spice was atleast spicing (even if that part was repetitive) and Vance deserves his recognition of awesomeness.
Overall, I’m glad I gave it a chance. A decent journey.
