💚 “You are my light and strength, even in the darkness of night, on a cold planet that was never meant to be our home.”

Paloma is an incredible woman! She’s caring, kind, hardworking and compassionate. And she’s also incredibly resilient, strong, stubborn and defiant. I loved that she never hesitated to stand up for herself and her wishes and desires. And she was so courageous to face any hardships thrown her way and challenge even the most dangerous of males. Paloma is full of so much heart and passion and I loved her so, so much!

Atox im Grak is one intimidating and fearsome male! He’s dangerous, growly, grumpy, deadly and possessive. He’s a male who will do everything in his power for his people’s survival. But there’s another side of Atox, too - one he doesn’t show often. Underneath his cold and arrogant facade is a caring, loyal and fiercely protective male. Atox is a complex male and I loved everything about him!

I loved everything that happened between Paloma and Atox! Paloma is sold to the orcs (by her own father) to gain protection for the humans and now she belongs to no other, but the King of the orcs. I loved those two together! They were such opposites but fit so well together. Even more, I loved their banters, their constant bickering and the way they challenged each other. Both were so stubborn, relentless and determined to achieve their goals. And, yet, the more time they spent together the more they saw and understood the other’s side, too, and learned to work with each other. And when they couldn’t resist the undeniable attraction, the passionate moments they shared were so hot! Paloma and Atox’s journey towards happiness was quite the bumpy ride, but after everything both went through, they more than deserved to find love together.

In addition, the storyline and worldbuilding were fantastic! Kovos is a planet full of danger and beauty and not everything is what it seems. I loved that we got to learn about how the humans and orcs ended up there and I really enjoyed getting a glimpse of the life and customs in the orcs village. With everything happening, I was glued to the pages till the very end.

Overall, the story is a spectacular start of the series! It’s filled with adventure, danger, suspense, twists, surprises, drama, action, smoking-hot passion and awesome characters.

I loved it and cannot wait to see what happens next!
