I really liked what this author did with modern fantasy tropes.
I hesitated when I first picked it up, because it's a self-published book.
Holy crap, this books sets the bar for self-published. I cannot emphasize enough how good it is, period, but being self-pubbed makes me even happier and gives my cold little soul a warm glow.
Dragons as I've not seen them before. Earth spirits. Mages. Sorcerers. Seers.
Okay, the book was so good that I went back to the library today and got the next TWO books in the series, because I cannot wait to devour them greedily.
