This was an audiobook for me - and was such a delightful way to pass long travel time.
What an enjoyable romp. Of course the characters aren't diverse; of course they are “loveable” - well mostly. I often laughed; especially at Ms Heyer’s colourful turn of phrase. She is adept at describing Ms Trent’s frustration, Ms Wield’s tantrums and the local gossipers.
But best of all - I absolutely loved the way it ended! Quite took my breath away.
