Drakon's Prey by N.J. Walters

4.0

A great addition to the Blood of the Drakon series.Drakon's Prey was just as good as Sarah and Darius' story. This one features Darius' brother,Tarrant who is an air drakon.Drakons are half human, half dragon and are the targets of many greedy humans, especially the Kinghts of the Dragons.Katrina is the head of this, and her little sister is Valeriya, a children's book iluustrator, who has never liked her family's involvement in this.
When Valeriya finds info that might save a drakon's life, she is overcome by the need to contact and warn him.So when she approaches the cabin in the woods, she is both disappointed and relieved to not find anyone there. But little does she know that too many people are watching her.

Tarrant doesn't want to trust this woman who has come to the cabin looking for Darius, but there's just something about her.So when something happens he sorta kidnaps her and takes her to his underground lair. But it sure didn't feel like a kidnapping ;)
And as they spend more time together,Tarrant belongs to realise that Valeriya genuinely wants to help them, but bringing her into his life would mean exposing so many things and putting her in danger too.Are they ready for that?

The relationship between Valeriya and Tarrant was well developed but had a slight instalust feel to it.The chemistry between them was well done!Valeriya was really sweet without appearing too Mary Sue-ish.The action had me at the edge of my seat, but at one point I felt like the antagonists could use more character development.Sometimes they feel a little one dimensional. It was so great seeing Sarah ,Darius and others again.I really hope the next one is Ezra's book and he finds a great girl.Maybe someone really kickass ;)
