I was quite excited to begin reading this book after hearing such raving reviews across booktok. However, initially it was a slow read for me and didn't capture me in a way that made me want to just devour it. Alas, devour it I did. After a few weeks of not touching the book I picked it up this morning and could not put it down, the last 100 pages are so reflective, gripping and emotional. The themes explored by this story are done so tastefully and true to real experiences, I respect that.
