The book started out great. I liked the heroine at first who did not do dumb shit while she was the one asking others for help and favor. She was strong calm and chill. Emotionally stable when drama hits. However the plot was just predictable and would be better with some refinements. Like what happened to Elise eventually, did Matthew and Dad really do not car a bit of Sarah even after living together for so many years, what was Grandpa’s name, why Jennifer’s transformation happened so quickly, etc.
