Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.

DNF since the book is due at the library, but i really didn’t enjoy the half i read. i loved the mercies by the same author (i gave it 5 stars), but sadly this didn’t live up to my expectations. i didn’t care for any of the characters, and i felt that it was a bit overwritten - i love flowery writing but sometimes you need to get to the point!!! i might return to it (but i doubt i will any time soon, if at all). glad i didn’t buy it lmao
