The Game of Lives by James Dashner

1.0

Don’t read Dashner, seriously, save yourself time and energy and read another author.

Dashner starts well but never knows how to finish a series. His plots never make any sense. He writes about subjects he knows nothing about. He has no world rules he sticks with. Characters can randomly do or don’t do something depending on where he wants the “plot” to go.

Spoiler he killed Sarah just so magic coder Michael could have a tangent gf. What if she didn’t want to be a tangent? I also dislike that she disobeyed her parents and the other adults let her…she didn’t need to be there, but then Dashner couldn’t senselessly kill her just for Michael to have a gf

The good guy is the bad guy but is the good guy is the bad guy is the good guy is the bad guy is the pitiful loser…this is just bad writing Dashner, not tense mystery.
