The Anomaly by Hervé Le Tellier
slow-paced
- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? No
3.5
I was hoping for this to be a less religious version of Manifest, and it’s really not. it’s a thought experiment & includes more philosophical ramblings than the tension, mystery & action (+ plot twists & reveal at the end) I read thriller & science fiction books for. tbf though, the blurb implies that.
idk why apparently the author was aware that there are too many characters but still chose to keep it that way? I think having one main character (& more likeable characters in general) would’ve helped the story. nonetheless I enjoyed it & the concept is interesting, there were just too many parts and characters I didn’t care about
